ATB in Washington DC
Club FUR / Sat, 23 Feb 2008

I went to ATB's show last year in DC. Now normally Tiesto, Armin Van Buuren, Paul Van Dyk and other big name DJ's will charge you around 20-40$ in pre-sale tickets, and they pull of a great gig. But ATB only charged me 10$ and so far it has been the best performance by any DJ that I have witnessed.

Oops; didn't mean to enter a blank entry... Anyway, I was going to ask anyone who has gone before: what are the lines, crowd, and parking like? From what I've been reading on other reviews, it's usually really long lines, bad parking, and the crowd does a LOT of grabbing and hassling, but I've also heard that it's a pretty decent place and some fun. I wasn't sure if these were reviews of the HipHop stuff or the Trance gigs, most seemed to be covering HipHop but I was just curious as to how ATB or other big named DJ shows are, since I would think that the atmosphere would have more harmony. Can anyone let me know?

I am REALLY hoping to go this year. I've been trying to see ATB, Armin Van Buuren, and Tiesto for a while but every time I'm ready to go, something comes up and I miss out!! I really really hope to be there at the end of this month!

I wonder what would happen if Andre Tanneberger played Nightwatch and or Humanity (Energy Mix) at this show the 27th :)

I went to a gig in San Diego about a year ago. I was real close to him as there was not a huge crowd. I was surprised to see such a small crowd (apparently we are not Europe). This man had the place jumping though. Whenever he would play one of his own personal tracks or remixes the crowd would go crazy. I can't wait until he makes another visit to San Diego, Tijuana, or Mexicali. Trance is not very popular in the states yet, but it is slowly picking up now that hip-hop is becoming very redundant. In fact, I've noted that hip-hop has begun to incorporate the electronic sound more often since the genre is running out of beats to sample. Anyhow, you will not be disappointed.

He usually plays some of his songs like Ecstasy (Club Mix), Let U Go (UK Mix), and Renegade (A&T Mix). In the Chicago concert he played like about seven of his own songs. It was so amazing that night! He also played Tiesto - Carpe Noctum, Linkin Park - Shadow of the Day (Abbott & Chambers Remix) and some new trance tracks.
