When we got to the club we had to wait outside in freezing San Francisco night time temperatures. (Wearing a dress didnt help much for warmth either.) Handed the guy our tickets and then had to wait another half an hour?which is alright things happen and rarely does anything start on time. Josh Gallahan was pretty cool? I have never heard any of his music before?He's pretty cute too but that?s another story.
ATB got onstage and everyone came RUSHING to the dance floor. I was lucky enough to be right next to the stage, sure I was off to the side and quite a few times I only saw a guys butt (he was filming) but still the location was awesome. I am not a dancer I an the typical white girl who really has no sense of rhythm or any dance moves?what so ever. But when Andre started playing you just couldn?t help but move. My feet were killing me which in turn made my legs hurt.. Plus jumping, and dancing made me hurt but I loved it. It was nice to hear a mix of old and new songs. The talent on that stage was just?AMAZING. Sadly at about 2:30 am things had to end.
Even though I was stepped on, jumped on, elbowed in the eye, and pushed I loved every minute of it. The only thing I would have changed was I only wish I could have met ATB/gotten an autograph, but I am sure everyone at the Ruby Skye wished for the same exact thing.
My only advice to anyone who goes to see ATB is wear comfortable shoes, if not you?re going to be dying all night.
I have never seen someone love their work as much as Andre did. And I truly wish that everyone could, first of all, see that first hand and, second, find that amount of happiness/joy in whatever they do.
Thank you for a wonderful night, I will never forget it.
Oh and I have a question? maybe someone could answer what is with the one finger in the air? I mean? its always only the one index finger? Both ATB and Josh did it. If you were at the show you will know what I am talking about.
